In the first week of September, we had a wonderful time celebrating Book Week. Authors Jane Godwin and George Ivanoff visited our students to share the fascinating process of how to create a book. On Thursday we had a fun dress-up day, where our students and staff came dressed as characters from their favourite books. It was so great to see so much creativity – and the excitement on the faces of our students as they guessed who their classmates were dressed up as.
The library was also open every morning for our community to enjoy. The Guess My Book quiz as well as the bookmark and short-story competitions all built on the theme of celebrating the magic of books. Thank you to our amazing Librarian teacher Susan Bannister and our grade four teacher Steph McNabb for driving this week, it will be tough to top it next year!
