Immigration Museum

The students from Level 3 visited the Immigration Museum as part of their Unit of Study on what it means to be Australian. The Immigration Museum engaged the students in an immersive learning experience. The program maximised hands-on contact with objects, artefacts, costumes, images and texts reflecting a range of migration stories that were displayed throughout the museum.

After lunch the students walked around the name plaques in the forecourt and found migrants with the same name as themselves or a member of their family.

It was a fact filled day of investigation and exploration.
