UNIT – ‘PACKAGE IT – MARKET IT’

The level 4 students have been looking at the properties of certain materials and their suitability for use in packaging. As part of this unit they have conducted a number of experiments. They have asked questions such as,

Why or why not do these materials make suitable packaging for various items?

Some physical properties that they considered were: strength, hardness, brittleness, transparency, elasticity, malleability, conductivity, viscosity, density, porosity.

Here they are constructing and testing packaging that will protect an egg when it is dropped from a height of more than two metres.
